Aloha, my name is RELLE. I'm a wife, mom of two, and full time nurse practitioner here in the beautiful state of Hawai'i. 📚 Gau Gee
Ingredients:
¼ pound ground pork
¼ pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoon green onion, sliced
2 tablespoon water chestnut, diced amzn.to/454PH3K
1 tablespoon cornstarch amzn.to/3Euui7Z
1 tablespoon mirin amzn.to/3IP7vGA
1 tablespoon shoyu amzn.to/3VFNBSN
2 teaspoon oyster sauce amzn.to/3s6Tkn5
1 teaspoon garlic amzn.to/3DuWsyo
1 teaspoon sesame oil amzn.to/3C6v2iC
1 teaspoon granulated sugar amzn.to/3gNEJe3
¼ teaspoon pepper amzn.to/3E3SRaZ
¼ teaspoon salt amzn.to/3SJpZKm
Won ton wrappers
Cooking oil amzn.to/3g47p2w
Directions:
1. Make the filling: To a large bowl add pork, shrimp, green onion, water chestnut, cornstarch, mirin, shoyu, oyster sauce, garlic, sesame oil, sugar, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Place about 1-2 teaspoons of filling onto the wrapper. Dip your finger in water and brush the water around the edge of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half lengthwise to create a rectangle and push the edges together to create a seal. Set aside.
3. Continue with the rest of the mixture and wrappers.
4. Heat your cooking oil of choice over medium high heat to 350F.
5. Carefully place the dumpling in the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
6. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel or cooling rack over a cookie sheet to drain excess oil. Serve immediately and ENJOY!

Mochi crunch or arare. It's a Japanese savory rice cracker dipped in soy sauce.
So excited to make this! After canning them do you need to refrigerate them immediately? Or only once you open it?
I refrigerate mine. But if canned correctly, it can be shelf stable and once you open you can place in the refrigerator.

Bonefish is a pretty common fish in the mainland. This recipe is for 'o'io, but you could use another white flaky fish if you can't find it.
